Monty Python Speaks (by David Morgan)

I'm about 3/4 of the way through with this book and it's the Python Book of the Year in my opinion. I'll have a full review posted when I'm done, but this rates as a MUST READ for any Python fan.

Another in the long line of Monty Python anthologies either released or forthcoming. It's similar to Kim Johnson's 'The First 280 Years of Monty Python' and George Perry's 'The Life of Python'. Not bad, but I was hoping for a more interesting and original perspective.

An in depth look at and analysis of the films of Terry Gilliam, covering his Python days to his current projects. This is due to be published soon and Gilliam is already making some public appearances to support it. I'll have more details as they become available.

The Monty Python (Non-Inflatable) TV Companion (by Jim Yoakum)

Dowling Press August 1999 ISBN: 1891847058

According to Jim's promo for the book:

'What's So Bleedin' Funny About Lord Hill?! That's the question I finally plucked up the courage to ask myself one day back in the mid-1980's. Now, I'd been a Python fan since 1974. I'd laughed along with the best of them as they reeled-off jokes about Lord Hill, Mary Whitehouse, Reginald Maudling and others - but as an American I wasn't entirely certain what was so funny about them. So I investigated, and what I found helped me understand. So I wrote it all down, along with lots of inside info on how the Python series was conceived, written and performed and the result is this lawsuit - er, BOOK!'
