Opera/WebTV Info

The new dynamic cascading menu system in place here at MontyPython.net does not operate in certain browsers, notably Opera, WebTV and old version of Netscape. There's almost no way to make sure that every aspect of every site works 100% without fail in every browser on every operating system for every computer on earth. So most sites need to adopt a policy of 'majority rules', that is, if something works okay for 99% of the users, that's good enough. To cater to that remaining 1% a site would need to abaondon the things that make it better for the majority and that just isn't too smart. Sadly, in this case, you're in that 1%. WebTV is a sick joke and Opera just implements DHTML too differently to be compatible with this system. But have no fear. The vast majority of the content in still available to you, you just need to use the menu system below rather than the easier DHTML menus that everyone else is using.

1) I suggest that you download and install a new browser. Both Internet Explorer 5.x+ and Netscape Navigator 4.x+ are completely free and available for most platforms and operating systems. There's a lot of great stuff on the web that you're missing by using such an old browser.

2) If you're an Opera fan, I know you intend to ignore #1 and that's your choice. Just be aware that by choosing to use a browser with such a small user-base you do place yourself outside the mainstream and will not be assured of compatability like an IE or NN user. Again, just use the menus below or keep a copy of IE handy for sites that are not Opera-friendly.

3) I know some people are unable to upgrade either by being stuck with a very old computer that won't run new software or by not being allowed to upgrade due to work restrictions, using public-access computers in a library or school, etc. For you, this page will serve as your anchor and replaces the dynamic menu system that you're unable to view. The static menus below contain all the links used in the DHTML menus. You can still find your way around, it's just not quite as easy or as attractive.
